Comprehensive Eye Exams

A routine eye exam isn’t just about your prescription. Our optometrists evaluate the overall health of your eyes, screen for early signs of disease, and update your glasses or contact lens prescription based on how your vision has changed. Because our optometrists and surgeons practice together under one roof, more complex or challenging cases can be evaluated and managed without an outside referral.

Glasses and Our Optical Shop

We carry premium designer frames across a wide range of styles, from understated daily-wear to statement pieces. Our opticians know the lens technology side too: progressives, high-index, blue-light filtering, photochromics, polarized sunglasses, sports glasses, and computer-specific lenses. If you’re unsure what you need, they’ll walk you through the options based on how you use your glasses day to day.

Soft Contact Lenses

If you’re a soft contact lens wearer, we can handle your fitting, your annual exam, and your reorders. We work with all the major manufacturers and lens types: daily disposables, monthly lenses, toric lenses for astigmatism, multifocal lenses, and colored lenses.

If you already know what you want, we can order it directly through our office, often with manufacturer rebates and competitive pricing. If you’re not sure or want to try something new, your optometrist will go through the options based on your eyes, your prescription, and your lifestyle.

Specialty Contact Lenses: Scleral and Beyond

Some patients have eyes that don’t fit standard contact lenses. If your cornea is irregular from keratoconus, if you have corneal scarring, if you have severe dry eye, or if your astigmatism is too high for a typical toric lens to fully correct, a scleral lens can be an excellent option.

Scleral Lenses

Scleral lenses are large-diameter rigid gas-permeable contact lenses that vault completely over the cornea and rest on the white of the eye (the sclera). The space between the lens and the cornea is filled with sterile saline, which creates a smooth optical surface and a built-in reservoir of moisture against the eye.

That single design choice solves two problems at once. The smooth fluid surface neutralizes corneal irregularity, which is why scleral lenses can deliver sharp vision when nothing else can. And the constant moisture bath is dramatically more comfortable than a standard contact lens sitting on a dry eye.

Who Scleral Lenses Help

Keratoconus. Once the cornea is no longer round, glasses and soft contacts stop providing clear vision. Scleral lenses restore sharpness by creating a new, smooth optical surface in front of the irregular cornea.
Corneal scarring. A corneal scar can leave the front surface uneven. Scleral lenses correct what glasses can’t.
Severe dry eye. The fluid reservoir between the lens and the cornea keeps the eye continuously hydrated. Many severe dry eye patients can wear scleral lenses comfortably for full days.
High or irregular astigmatism. Astigmatism that’s too high or too uneven for a standard toric lens often does well with a scleral.

Scleral lens fittings are more involved than a standard soft contact lens fitting. We begin with detailed corneal topography, select a starting lens based on your eye’s specific geometry, and refine the fit over several visits to optimize comfort, vision, and tear film exchange. Most patients are in their final lenses within a few weeks.

If you want both, plan for a slightly longer visit. A glasses prescription and a contact lens prescription are technically different exams, since contacts sit directly on the eye and require additional measurements. We can do both in one appointment when scheduled in advance.
